#1: San Diego Chargers Vs. Miami Dolphins – Jan. 2, 1982
This game was classified by Sports Illustrated as “the game no one should have lost”. The truth is that while the Chargers were winning 21-0, the Dolphins managed to take the game into overtime thanks to a change.
The game went into overtime, and the Chargers prevailed 41-38.

#2: Miami Dolphins Vs. Kansas City Chiefs – Dec. 25, 1971
The main reason why this game is on our list is that it is the longest NFL game ever played. It has a record of 82 minutes and 40 seconds and in case you are wondering, the Dolphins came out on top, 27-24.
However, the story of the game could not be this one. The reality is that the Chiefs were winning to a 10-0 but the Dolphins managed to tie the game in the second quarter.
#3: Oakland Raiders Vs. New England Patriots – Jan. 19, 2002
This is another NFL game that has a special place in history. After all, it was played during a nasty snowstorm. This means that none of the teams were able to use their offense properly.

#4: Baltimore Colts Vs. New York Giants – Dec. 28, 1958
This game was very special. After all, it was the first NFL game televised nationally. But this wasn’t the only reason to include this great game in our list. After all, and while the Colts ended up winning the game, the Giants gave them a good fight, especially in the second part.
#5: Dallas Cowboys Vs. Minnesota Vikings – Dec. 28, 1975
This was definitely a very exciting game that took the Cowboys to the playoffs. And the final strike was made by Roger Staubach who said he threw the ball and said a “Hail Mary.” As h prays, Drew Pearson came down with the ball, winning the game for the Cowboys.
Besides, there were also some doubts about a penalty that would favor the Vikings. However, the flag was never thrown.
#6: Houston Oilers Vs. Buffalo Bills – Jan. 3, 1993
This is definitely one of the strangest games NFL fans have already seen. The truth is that this game didn’t even sell out. However, and while the Oilers dominated for the first half, things completely changed during the second half. According to some Buffalo Bills players, the defensive coordinator Walt Corey unleashed a tirade on the team at halftime for their timid play. So, as a result, the Bills were able to score 21 points in just 10 minutes. And while the game was sent to overtime by the Oilers, the Bills managed to win it by 41-38.
